Wanda Challenges - Instructions

Below you'll find more detailed instructions on how Wanda Challenges and the Challenge Prizes work!

How it works

  • Each Challenge below is based on a game that is found on a Wanda Card
  • To get the full instructions, you need to buy a Wanda Cards pack
  • Each pack has a random set of games, so you're not guaranteed to get a specific game... just buy lots of packs :D
  • Each Challenge has monthly prizes.
  • Prizes are awarded in four age categories: | 5 - 6 | 7 - 8 | 9 - 10 | 11 - 12 | years old
  • In group games at least one kid between these ages must be equally contributing
  • To enter, play in person at a Wanda Cards booth, or send a video of you doing the Challenge to our email address: ohyeah[at]wandacards[dot]com

  • Every kid who enters is automatically entered into a draw to win an amazing prize!!!
  • Feel free to send in as many new entries as you like
  • Have fun seeing how amazingly well you can do!

Challenge Prizes

  • For every age category we'll award a Lego prize (similar to the ones in this picture)
  • Prizes will be awarded at the end of each month
  • If you win, we'll email you and let you know!
  • Prizes will be mailed for free, shortly after the winners are announced

Instructions:

Closest Card

Please refer to the card for the actual game instructions

Goal: Closest card to the target on a single throw

Rules:

  1. You have to throw from at least 2 big adult steps back
  2. The absolute closest would be 100% one to one match of the target card. If you get this, you'll probably win! :)
  3. You have to send a continuous video of the throw and the card landing
  4. Ideally zoom in to show how far the card is from the target

Instructions:

Pass the Drawing

Please refer to the card for the actual game instructions.

Goal: The most contributions in 60 seconds

Rules:

  1. Each contribution must be unique (you can't draw the same thing twice)
  2. You need at least 2 people to be playing (kids must equally contribute)
  3. You have to send a continuous video of the 60 seconds of drawing

Instructions:

Dance the Emotion

Please refer to the card for the actual game instructions

Goal: Dance as many emotions as possible in 60 seconds

Rules:

  1. Each emotion must be unique (you can't dance the same emotion twice)
  2. Different to the instructions on the card, only one person must dance each emotion before switching emotions
  3. You can do this alone or with other people (kids must equally contribute!)
  4. You have to send a continuous video of the 60 seconds of dancing

Instructions:

Unusual Uses

Please refer to the card for the actual game instructions

Goal: Come up with as many unusual uses of a single object in 60 seconds

Rules:

  1. Pick any object you like (we use a pencil in the instructions just as an example)
  2. Each unusual use must be unique
  3. You can do this alone or with other people (kids must equally contribute!)
  4. Make sure the video recording is clear so we can hear the different uses

Instructions:

Splat!

Please refer to the card for the actual game instructions

Goal: Catching from as far back as possible

Rules:

  1. Use a crumpled ball of A4 paper instead of an egg
  2. Step back after each successful catch
  3. Each step back should be a big kid step back. No small steps :)
  4. Make sure we can see the final distance in the video (try and have someone holding the camera so they can move back as the distance grows)

Instructions:

Shadow Charades

Please refer to the card for the actual game instructions

Goal: The most shadow ideas in 60 seconds

Rules:

  1. Different from the instructions, you are not guessing shadows, just creating as many unique ones as possible
  2. You can't do the same shadow twice
  3. You can do this alone or with other people (kids must equally contribute!)
  4. Test out how you'll film and light the shadows before to make sure it's clear and works
  5. You have to send a continuous video of the 60 seconds of shadows
